Buy a Kioti or Stay Away Please Help Looking to buy a new Tractor CK30 HST/CK35 HST

I own a CK25. I feel it to be a little under powered at times. I would go for the 30 or 35 if I did it again. Something I have heard and believe to be true, is that the new quick attach buckets are larger than the older type. Some have complained that they could not lift the bucket if full of gravel. I know that the KL130 does not seem powerful enough for a larger bucket plus the QA weighs a bit more and the bucket sits farther forwards, could be a problem with gravel etc. I am also in NS, Pubnico, Yarmouth Co. I have purchased a Horst 84" wide snow bucket. Awsome for snow but surely not for heavy material. I previously owned a Kubota B1700. The Kioti is twice as fun to use and more solid. I test drove a Kubota L3400 and liked the Kioti more. Its a heavy solid machine with lots of solid metal under it. The steering is unbeatable. The loader control is smooth and well positioned but needs the right servicing to keep up. You will read about it on this forum. Keep reading tips on this forum to keep it running well and keep it indoors if you can. It will last longer than you but they tend to rust if left outside. I built a sturdy cab for mine and love it. I could spend all day in it. I'm sure you will too.

Yeah the dealer told me that it may have a hard time lifting with a full bucket load cause the quick attach loader is positioned further away and the loader is heavier, having a 5 foot bucket even half full would be fine for me, also it is quite a deep bucket as well. I don't want to be doing full bucket loads with it anyways, just want to take it easy on it cause I want it to be around for awhile and treat it good so hopefully it will treat me good in return, I've been rough on stuff all my life and it just costed me alot of $$ and frustration in the long run. I've had my DK45SC for about three years and been very pleased with it. I shopped all the other choices available here in PEI, and the Kioti clearly offered the best bang for the buck. I have loaded R4s, but usually have an implement on the back anyway (except when I'm working in really tight spaces). I've picked up some sandstone foundation rocks that just barely fit into the bucket; without weight on the back, the rears were just barely still on the ground...not much braking power left in that circumstance!!
If you have a good dealer, you can't go wrong with the Kioti.
....I also have to add my astonished compliments to Bruce's: Deon, that is a very, very professional job on the cab!

Can you load the rear Industrial R4 tires?
If you can't load those tires what do people normally use?
Ballast box, or attach an implement, and the reason I am asking is if I wanted to spread gravel and want to take a decent bucket load but want to keep the rear tires on the ground what would be the best way? Thanks

skip the ballast box and get a usefull implement that you can hang suitcase weights on

extra hydro outlets up front(time of purchase) to allow for top-n-tilt would be a plus if the cash allows

it can be frustrating as a new user to level fill as the bucket or the box blade will follow the tire travel as there is no for of suspension leveling

have your dealer show you the float function on the FEL

if you plan to due the maint get all material for 50 and 200 hr maint
the 5 gallon fluid pump is perfect for hydro fluid

also extra fuel filters - tractors dont run well when paraffin builds in the fuel filter - this always happen on the day when you need to get something done and it is "COLD" - - UGH

most filters can be reused if gelling ocurs with a propane torch to melt the paraffin away from you home, car, tractor - ie dont burn something down

don't for get anti-gell, funnel filter and 2 good fuel cans

grease - a case of grease tubes - i go thru 2 tubes a year on my unit

I have had my CK35 HST a little over a year now and 150 trouble free hours. It's a great tractor and I don't regret buying a Kioti at all, I did try the other orange tractor out too and the Kioti just plain felt better. Very smooth well positioned loader control, many of the extras like telescoping lift arms, tilt wheel and cruise control are included, that are usually found on the more expensive models. I now have a 60'' tiller, 60" bushhog, 72" finish mower, 72" landscape rake, and a 48" grapple, and the tractor handles them all fine with power to spare. This tractor will start up in the winter when it's -20F without a block heater.

My rear R4s are loaded, and I still use a box blade or tiller as additional ballast from time to time.
