OK, I know the topic of toothbars has been discussed ad nauseum lately, but I just had to weigh in on this one. I finally got my toothbar and installed it yesterday (took about 10 minutes). All I can say is that this is the best 280 bucks I have spent. I'm popping out small trees by the roots with no trouble at all. Collecting small brush is a piece of cake. I think I can probably open a can of tuna with it, its just that useful.

So, if you do any loader work, you should really buy one. Unless you already have one, in which case you should pat yourself on the back for being so smart.. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I feel the same way about mine (although it was the best $300, in my case). /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anthony,

Where did you get yours? I have a 430 loader with 4 in 1 bucket also.

The bucket on my loader has individual bolt on teeth. Works great.

I got mine from Mark at KC canary...he knew exactly what I needed and shipped it to me. Had it in about a week. Just to be sure, measure the inside width of your bucket. Mine was 59 3/8". You will need to drill some holes, but it isnt hard if you slowly step up the size. I did 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and finally 3/4 inch. Pick up some 3/4 inch washer to use as shims as the toothbar is slightly narrower than the bicket.

Piece of cake...

I can tell you from personal experience it also works well for opening a can of chainsaw gas...if you forget you set it in the bucket and see another tree you want to pluck... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Not sure about the tooth bar, but the rear tire also works wonders for opening a can of oil! also when you runo ver the oil make sure you need a shower, cause you surely will after you hit it! also it really coats a rust preventitive under the tractor as well! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was at my dealership today, saw all the excitement here about toothbars. So I asked him how much for a toothbar for my 66" bucket(there was one laying on the floor in the shop). He say's around 400.00 for a 66"(OUCH!).I guess I'll shop around a bit.
