Toplink selection varies with the implement and the job. When I disc, I don't use a toplink at all. When I use the cone spreader, I have to go to a real short Cat1 toplink. When I use the mowers/rake/boxblade, I use the HTL. When I use the boom pole in high lateral stress situations, I use a HD Cat2 conventional. And the list goes on.Second question--Do you suppose I could use a cat II HD toplink with a 1000 lb chisel plow in tough conditions and have it work or are thse things best with lighter duty conditions?
Long story short: if I ever add a 1000# chisel plow to my inventory, I believe I'd go with the HD Cat2 conventional.
