Not related to my original question, but is it possible to stick weld with EVERY tig machine or can only some do it? If not all can do it, how might one find out?

I've only seen one that didn't.

It was the Miller Diversion 180. An overpriced, underpowered machine besides...in my my opinion anyway

Didn't want to start a new thread:
A local guy has a miler two fifty twin ac/dc stick welder for sale. He’s asking $ 300 Canadian but said we can talk about the price since he’s had it listed for a month now. Is this a good machine? Good price or not?

If I remember right, they pre-date the Dialarc and the Miller 250 so that puts them in the early 70's or the 60's
(if I remember correctly)

I'm sure nearly bulletproof just like the other two I mentioned.

For comparison, I paid $225 for my late 70's Dialarc and the price of gas to retrieve it for the 2nd one.
