Re: BUYER\'s BEWARE of WARRANTY\'s

Mike,
I guess I am sort of like a Bulldog with Lockjaw when it comes to things like this.

I would have it resolved in some manner, formal "ladder " or not.

I guess this is a good lesson for us all. One of the reasons I have the product I have at this time, Always have been skittish of Greys. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I might be able to help! Did you buy the tractor in Georgia? The official code of GA has a section you need to read. It is the 'Farm Tractor Warranty Act' OCGA 10-1-811. It requires a full buy back if the dealer and manufacturer are unable to repair the tractor within and after 18 months of trying and you have made them aware of the problem. P.M. if you need!

Re: BUYER\'s BEWARE of WARRANTY\'s

Specifically says it covers a new tractor through an authorized dealer. Jim bought through a grey market importer who has no relationship to the manufacturer.

Thanks for the info. I guess it doesn't cover completely "Refurbished" tractors either. That is what my tractor was sold as. Guess it's just my luck. Seems as if it wasn't for "bad Luck" I would noat have any.... then I think about the people I am trying to help with my garden project and I know I could be worse off.

I have a lot to be Thankful for and I am. However... I feel I am beginning to be a whiner and complainer lately. This tractor seems to be bringing the worse out in me. I sure wish I had known all of you before I purchased a tractor. I probably would not be going through this now and I would already have this project garden planted.

Please keep the ideals coming... surely together we could come up with an ideal that works.

Thanks

Jim

Re: BUYER\'s BEWARE of WARRANTY\'s

You are right. I did not realize he bought an older unit as well! He still has a civil action for Breech if the warranty is strong enough.

/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif In my younger years I would have probably done some things that would have gotten me arrested. I think I am more like a panther or bear. But with my training... and God behind me they have things coming that is much worse than I could do. God will take care of that because he says "Vengeance is Mind". I have to try and keep my cool and resolve it in an orderly manner. I can't help people with food from the jail cell.

OK, I have had it. I told Bird some weeks ago that I was done posting here because of some trolls that continued to follow me, but this is over the top and DEMANDS a response. ( This company that did me this way has four locations in the USA. Georgia, Texas, Ohio and Missouri. Not sure if using the same name. But I couldn't mention it here anyway. Just beware of these people because they are distributors to several small dealers )

When you do this you create a cloud of doubt over everyone selling gray market units in these four states. We are in Ohio. I am sorry you were treated badly. I am sorry you bought from a dealer well known to most other dealers, and many in the bynet Yanmar forum, for having a poor reputation. I am sorry YOU did not take the time to research this market. Had you used half the time for research that you have used to complain in at least four different forums here, you may well have made a wiser choice.

I tried to offer assistance and other options by email initially, and you chose to continue to whine the poor pitiful me tune rather than focus on a possible solution. Now you want to cast aspersions on every dealer in four different states? I don't think so. There are many credible dealers in the gray market. Many. For you to malign them with your broad brush of anonymity is wrong. Very, very wrong.

Your response has now become as wrong as the treatment you received from your seller. I personally would not want to do business with you.

Re: BUYER\'s BEWARE of WARRANTY\'s

Just for the record, LMTC does NOT sell Shibaura tractors. That is for those who may be reading and not familiar with him or his dealership.

And IMHO, it takes a lot of research to buy a grey and find a reputable dealer.

Ok.. I removed DELETED my post. I did not say it was you. I understand what you are saying though. I was only trying to get the message out that they had more than one place. I didn't mean to upset anyone. I also appreciate your help. Like I said I deleted that post. If you were not affected I don't understand why you are so upset. I was talking of the company that did me wrong. You my friend have helped me as much as you could. I apologize for upsetting you.
