We bought a fun one - SHOULD have bought a utility machine!

Wildcat4 from Arctic Cat, 2014 model. Bought new in November. This was the wife's impulse purchase - oldest son was buying one, and she thought it would be fun to spend time with the kids and grandkids. Son's boss had purchased one with all the goodies, son bought a 4X (more power and bumpers), we bought the base model. First trip was to the beach - wife HATED it, as the beach full of ATVs, UTVs, and 4x4 pickups terrified her. Second trip was to the desert, where we putted around, ate dust, and discovered we could go the same places in either of our daily drivers. Around our property, the long wheelbase made it a difficult drive, as the turning radius is huge. We decided to cut our losses, and sold it for far less than we paid (but far more than it was worth to us!).

It had an initial defect (A-arm in front scraped shock/spring) which was covered under warranty. These are known for breaking drive belts, so we carried a spare - but in the 82 miles we put on it, it didn't break. Others have not been so lucky. No way I'd buy one again. Neither would our son, nor his boss. The Razor equivalent is much more dependable, with a better build quality as well, and a higher price tag.

This purchase was a mistake of every level. Had we rented one at the beach, we wouldn't have purchased one at all. Had we done research into them, we would not have purchased THAT one. Buyer's remorse? Yep - but it's my own fault. Once we came to grips with our mistake, we took our loss - it certainly wasn't going to be worth more next year. Got cash, garage space, and moved on.

Corrected this fiasco last weekend. Bought a very nice, low hour/miles Rhino 660 off Craigslist. It's much better suited to our lifestyle and property, and cost less than we lost on the Artic Cat. With a little care, it will last us a long time. A far better match for us.

The feedback in this thread encouraged me to skip on the TSC unit on CL that was $1300 less than I paid for the Rhino. T believe I will be far happier in the long run with the Rhino.

I bought a DEMO 550 JD in 2015, it's more of a Sport model than a worker, could be loaded in the back of a truck bed. The salesman at the time suggested I should go with the 825I for my needs, I didn't want to spend the extra 2K on it at the time.
Fast forward a year, traded for the 825I with hydraulic dump, added windshield & lights(factory lighting, terrible), once again a 46 hour DEMO at savings, couldn't be happier, should have listened to salesman to begin with. He told me years ago I should go with a 4WD tractor when I bought the 2WD, yes, i'm wanting the 4WD now with a cab.
At both times, I thought he was up-selling me, now that we've become friends over the years, I've found out he listened to my needs & recommended what he thought was best for them. Thankfully, he's always met where I wanted to be price wise.

The wife drove it off the trailer, up the road, and around the property - including through the seasonal stream that ate a 3/4 ton Ford 4x4 recently. Never even put it in 4wd. She's tickled pink, and when she's happy - I'm happy. I'll be making racks for the bed to hold chainsaws, sprayer, gas cans, etc.

And we can still go trail riding on the desert with the kids and grandkids. When the wife told the oldest son what we'd bought, he told us that his group of friends have a '01 Rhino that they depend on to recover their busted speedsters. :)

Not really remorse because I've gotten my moneys worth out of the machine, so more insight. I have a 2011? Kubota 1140 CPX. The radiator is in a bad place on these machines where they catch a lot of dust and the fins become clogged easily. This can and has led to overheating. Not a huge problem for me as I am not taking the machine on long trips and I have just made it part of my schedule to blow the radiator fins off. But I sure would not buy a used one because of this. They have corrected this on the new models.

I have a 2016 Mule Pro FX, has power steering and the power dump bed. It replaced a Mule 3010 which I had for 10 years. I paid $7000 dollars more for the Pro FX but it does have many more features. I like the large cargo box, it will easily hold a three hole dog box. The 50hp engine has plenty of power and the Mule has very good traction on hills. I seldom have to use the four wheel drive. I visited every UTV dealer in the area including the Ranger, Honda, Yamaha, Gator, and Can-Am. I really liked the Gator 825 but was not offered a chance to drive one or no follow up call. The Mule and Gator use the same Chinese engine. At this point I would buy another Mule.

I have a 2016 Polaris RZR 900s. Power steering model.
We use it for trail riding only. We like it . Have to see how it holds up long term (only 900 miles so far)

Purchased a new 2013 Polaris Rzr 800 LE as it was old stock because we bought it in 2014. Still came with the factory warranty.

Even though I got it stuck in the snow immediately after unloading it from the trailer when I got home, I still love it.

Have 2000 miles on it now, and have made many mods to make it suit my likings and wants.

Would highly recommend and purchase again.

Also, like Jeff mentioned, I had spent HOURS if not days researching prior to purchase, which led me to knowing what I was getting myself into to avoid any surprises which would have disappointed me.
