I tell youy, I thought this tractor purchase was going to be easy, but it isn't. In speaking with the Kubota rep, he told me only 16,000 new Kubota 2230's are sold in this country per year. He may have meant CO alone, but still, it isn't like selling 16 million cars a year. There are very few outlets to buy used tractors throughout the country, and then there is shipping. I could go on, but I will spare you.
Used tractors are hard to find in any area around the country, especially the CUTs and sub-CUTS. It is a very frustrating process to go through, but if you buy new, you understand that the tractor will retain at least 80% of its value...even after 5 years! It more than for itself in the long run to buy new. It's just that there are so many good tractors out there that it is hard to chose.
