Buying a CK30

New to buying a tractor. Have great technical advice but not familar with pricing. Looking @ ck30 with bucket (my dealer now seems to have woods on all models) and a rear snowblower to start. First shot by dealer was $16,975 + $2150 for rear snowblower + tax. Any idea of negotiation level? Is it like cars? I'm in NE but the boonies! Any help appreciated as everyone is pushing the buy. I bought a CK25 gear with the KL130 and BH2375 for just over $19K after tax. Is yours a HST or gear? HST adds around $1,300 to $1,500, at least that is what I found when I was shopping last fall. Definitely shop around, I had a dealer in a state without tax quote me $1,500 more than a dealer in Tax-a-chusetts. Depending on where in NE you live, there are dealers on here that I'm sure would PM you a price. You might want to fill in your location under your profile. Good luck with your tractor hunting.

If it's HST, then it sounds like it's within reason. You might could a little better if you shopped and haggled.

Although I ended up getting a CK25, I started out looking at the CK30 gear. Prices in western NY and northern PA ranged from $15,150 to $15,800 for CK30 gear with KL130 loader. Don't know how much more the Woods loader would have been. Sounds like you're in the ballpark, definitely if your price is for the HST. -WSJ

Hello Tier, your price seems about right. Your by Albany? What dealer are you talking with? I bought from Rodicks in Schroon lake in March 05 , Ck30hst with the Woods 1012 loader ,brush guard and block heater for 16200. That was before the Kioti price increas so your price looks about right. This is a very nice setup. Rodicks is an excellent dealer. I also bought from Rodicks and could not be happier with their service. My quote on the '06 CK30 gear w/Woods 1012 FEL was similar to Matt's, plus a few add ons (QA for FEL, Woods HD pallet forks, Woods toothbar and a used Woods BB) +/- 17500 if I remember correctly. So the 06 increase is basically the difference between HST & gear. BTW he puts the block heaters in all the new Kiotis he sells which is a nice touch for those of us in the north country. If you're north of Albany it's worth a scenic drive to Schroon Lake. The KL loader is pretty, but I really liked the beefy Woods, plus the routing of the hoses was a little neater on the Woods setup IMHO. The QA adapter is a must if you want to use the loader for multiple attachments, this setup is slick! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
