Sorry took so long to get back, it's been real busy up here lately. Don't know if it's a OEM Kioti heater or not, sure looks like an OEM setup though(the strain relief on the cord is even orange). It's located immediately in front of the starter, out the left side of the block and if I rememeber correctly it warms the water jacket for easier winter starter. Definitely a huge plus in my neck of the woods come Jan-Feb.

Finding new uses is the easy part. Now finding the time and/or weather to complete them, that's another story. Good luck in your shopping, you'll love the machine! They won't let you leave the yard without driving it around and diggin' in the pile, I had to operate mine three times before they brought it home.
