Buying a Kubota - L3301 - Kind of late, but did I make any mistakes?

I liked that ballast box- especially the shovel rings. I will add some like that to my home-made box (which is very similar in size, I see.)

Mr. RiseForms, you will need to change your member info from "Nothing Yet - Soon Kubota" to Kubota L3301! Maybe even a nice photo for your avatar.

This is obvious to most of us, but I find using the ballast box is preferred to having something big hanging off the 3 point that can bang into stuff. Of course, when you do attach that big something, don't forget it's swinging around back there!

it is kind of interesting, when I lived in more open country I only had a mower on the back for ballast and never gave it a second thought, and would not of had a ballast box if you had given it to me. Now that I live in tree land, I take much notice of anything sticking very far out the back of the tractor. With the ballast barell I do not have to worry near as much.
