Buying a new computer - question

I bought the computer: a Dell with 2.2GHz Pentium 4, 256MB RAM, 30GB Hard Drive, and a CD-RW drive. Ordered it last Wednesday and it was delivered yesterday - Great service!
What a Joy over my old computer with a P75 and 32MB RAM!!!

I do have a USB smart media card reader that I use with my camera. It works fine with my PC at work (Windows 2000). I tried it with my new Dell last night (Windows XP) the computer would not recognize it. ... need to go to the SimpleTech web site today to see if they have a driver for XP.

Yikes, and I thought I was the only one that had an older machine /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I cannabalized a couple pc's and "upgraded" my home pc to a P-166 with something like 80 megs ram...however, I think I have some parity and non parity ram mixed... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It's a joy leaving home to come to work with 21" monitor, P-1.5 ghz and DSL line... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
