I am in the process of buying a new TC40D FWD,ag tires, 16LA loader, HD 72", no supersteer. My dealer has quoted me $20,100. Also a Land Pride 1672 rotary cutter for $1,230. How does this look guys? (NE PA,NJ) Does anyone have any experience with industrial tire traction on hills? Any thoughts on supersteer with the hills? Many thanks.

You are getting an excellent price on your tractor. Sign the check!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have R4 tires on my TC45D and it gives me a little extra float and absolutely no problem on hillsides except for wet clay where any tire won't get a grip.

Your price looks pretty good to me. I just got this quote this morning:

TC 40D w/ SuperSteer
17LA loader w/ quick attach HD bucket and toothbar
Mid-PTO
3 rear remotes
block heater
grill guard
arm rest kit
$24,900 total

Bush Hog SQ600 for $992.

I think the price is a little high.

Last month I bought a TC40D w/ss, fel, 3 sets of rear wheel weights, block heater, quick tach bucket, grill guard, and arm rests for $21,400 + tax. I thought this wasn't too bad so I bit. NO REGRETS

Bob -- I drive a Kubota so can't comment on anything but your tires. R4s will have no trouble on hills provided you're not dealing with heavy snow or muck. I went with ags, but here in northern Vermont our conditions are a tad different.
