Buying a used tractor that was financed through Kubota Credit

I really think the tractor companies need to get with it and issue titles on all tractors with a retail value greater than $10,000.00. I can't imagine how many stolen tractors are sold on EBAY or in containers headed to South America. I have run a internet business for 10 years now and my views on my fellow man have been regularly tested. My neighbors leave their tractors sitting in the fields and the local Kubota dealer ship keeps 20+ tractors right out in an unfenced area. My tractor is in a locked garage. Sorry but it's not the same world our fathers grew up in.

You could site down with the seller and have him pull up his KCC account on the web, it will show you what is owed. I paid off one of mine last year, and I just pulled it up showing 0 balance.
I also got a Paid in full letter from Kubota and a copy of the sale agreement stamped paid in full.

I might upgrade my L3130HST to a Lxx40 cab model. anyone know what to expect to get for a tradein for a 2004 with about 300 hrs? It has LA723 loader, R4's with fluid, original cost about $20K.

Has anyone purchased a used tractor from someone who financed the tractor? I am looking for advice. What steps should be taken to make sure the tractor is free and clear?

I went onto the KCC website and got my payoff letter instantly. Course I guess anyone could forge one of those.

I might have one of those financed tractors for sale soon, I'm thinking of upgrading my L3130HST to a cab model like L3240. Anyone know what a used L3130 HST / 300 hrs sells for these days?
