Too bad you're not in the west coast, in West WA (Ellensburg) there is a large dealer of gray market used imports of Yanmar www.tractorco.com

Seems like that is a great opportunity to take a road trip and see America. I drove up there a few years ago for a family wedding. (Wenatchee) Beautiful country. Put equipment on a trailer and drive back home with a bargain? What could go wrong?

Parts availability can be a problem with older machines. Especially grey market ones. Unless you can find a perfectly maintained creampuff your new used tractor will need some work and parts.

With a few exceptions modern new tractors are pretty reliable. Keep up pn the maintenance schedule and they'll run for a long time. Used stuff usually has issues that you need to fix.
