Buying American

I really did it now. Went to Lowes and bought a Dewalt drill/impact combo. Got home and opened the case to find a mix of countries. The tools were made in china. The batteries are made in japan. The charger was made in Tahiland and I couldn't find a "made in" on the case.

Does anyone know of any good professional 20v drills and impact drivers made in America? If so I will take these back tomorrow.

I proudly fly my American flag year round. To me buying a toyota or a honda and driving it around would be like wearing a shirt with an American flag all your life then one day taking it off and taking a big crap on it and then promptly putting on a shirt with the rising sun.
On the same note, I will not continue to buy products from companies that take a crap on me by virtue of lack of quality or value. It doesn't matter whether the company is domestic or foreign -- fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

To repeat:

My father turned me onto Diamond Gusset jeans, They are 100% made in tenessee from teneesee cotton, I absolutley love them, not only do they outlast levi's they are cheaper to boot!!

Its one of those things that if you look hard enough you can find ways to buy here and not compromise what your after, Just the 'average joe' does not care to take the time or the reason why.

My reply got whacked by the c-e-n-s-o-r-s, so I reposted it with Politically Correct words to make them happy.

"I hate to say it; but I think you're SOL.

Milwaukee is one of my favorites and they make a lot of their stuff in China now. I've sent them snottygrams over paying the Milwaukee price for ChiCom made stuff.

Another favorite of mine is Bosch; but I haven't bought anything from them in quite a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if it said Made in China too."

Bosch is international and some there tools are made in the USA, but at least with the tools I have purchased they are not made in China. A lot there stuff seems to come from Malaysia.
