I too traveled a pretty good distance to get my mower. One thing that made me feel better about doing so was the many "fresh" pics that the seller took for me. I would ask him to take a pic of something specific, and he had no problems doing so. We had also exchanged plenty of emails as well. He also took a youtube vid of it starting and running and moving, etc. He did that on his own and sent it to me. Bottom line, I did as much research up front as I could. It helped that he recognized I was coming from far away, and agreed to take less for it because of that. Well that and there was 2 feet of snow on the ground, and not a lot of people thinking about buying a new mower. I am happy with my purchase so far, and next week it goes into the local JD dealer for a thorough going over. Ultimately that will be the tell all on if my good deal was really a good deal.
