I agree with your math. I was just pointing out that many dealers don’t offer much of a cash discount anymore. That price difference shown on the board is hard to find nowadays.
Those aren't cash vs fianceing; those are conventional fiancing vs artificially low, 0% fiancing. Now, I dont doubt that with dropping demand, the companies are subsidizing the 0% deals. If the monthly payments are significantly cheaper, jump on 0%. Just check before making an assumption, is all I'm advising our OP.

When getting a loan get the lowest payment that you can
as you can made double or tripple payments but if you get
in a bind the low payment will be easier on your wallet

Might also be aware if there is a early payoff penalty. I financed with Kubota 5 yrs no interest, but if you paid before the 60 months, they cancel your KTAC insurance and refund the unused premium. Then you could insure with their after- paid KTAC insurance. There was nothing wrong with this, so I just set the money back early and went the full 5 yrs. It is my understanding that Kubota has about the best tractor ins.

I agree with that. When I bought my tractor last year, I had planned on paying cash, but that dealer talked me out of it. I guess in a way it made sense because I would have lost any discounts on the implements, I bought when I bought the tractor plus there was no real discount for paying cash. It's probably mainly the salesman that pushes you to finance the tractor so you will have to buy the insurance. I'm pretty sure he gets a commission on the financing plus one for selling the insurance also. They probably make more off that than they do for the actual sale of the tractor.
I still wanted to pay for it outright but now I'm glad he talked mt into it because shortly after I got it I found several scratches on the hood I didn't see until the first time I put fuel in it. I also bent that silly light weight quick hitch, and the insurance took care of it all. That bill to the insurance co was right at $6000.00 so that paid for whatever I paid for the insurance I had to buy when I got the tractor.
