Golly, wacking a press creep ... the same kind of slime that chased after Princess Di, shove mikes under the noses of people who've just lost loved ones in some disaster, etc .... hmmm ... sounds to me like Aldrin deserves another medal. Maybe an Academy award.

The media in this country (and Canada) has abused it's PRIVILEGES for far too long and should start being held accountable. I completely agree with your statement I don't think photographers/journalists have "special rights" to harass, pester, block, stalk ... and I really wish people would start lodging harrassment complaints everytime an unwanted interviewer gets in their face.

I'm not a believer that the "good old days" were better ... but I'd really like to go back to the days (if there ever were any) where the FACTS were reported.

As to believing the media over the government ... well, I believe little of what the government tells us .... but I believe a lot less of much of our media .... I still remember the 60 Minutes "expose" that was staged to give the effect the producers wanted because they couldn't make the truck explode any other way .... Remember, folks, this is the same media that "cleansed" the Twin Towers pictures of people jumping because it would "upset us" ... or at least that's the reason they gave us ... me, I'll continue to believe it's the liberal wish to water the whole thing down (since they'd be lynched if they continued the Peter Jennings "Maybe we deserved it" crap.)

Anyway ... back to Buzz .... do you think he would go and clock a few talking heads if we took up a collection?

CSAW - People get into fights all the time. You’re suggesting everyone who gets in a fight should go to jail? That’s ridiculous! I don’t like Tony Stewart one bit, (I wish they’d take the sign down coming into town about Columbus, IN being his home town, he’s nothing to be proud of) but he’s got way more class than most journalists!

Anyone who believes the moon landings were all a hoax must also believe we never put any satellites in orbit. It’s the same basic “rocket science”. DirecTV is a fake and those pictures of earth from orbit are all fakes too, right?

I probably, on the whole, believe the govt. more than you, but share your skepticism of it sometimes as well. The media? Looks like we are once again very close to one another.

I work for a pharmaceutical co. Lots of PhDs and intellectual types. We had the fake moon landing discussion at lunch the other day. Three, count 'em - 3 people believed it was a hoax. I think they all saw the show mentioned in other posts.
I raised the same point you did about satellites. They all said they believe we have the technology now and have actually landed on the moon. Just not in 1969 like the US govenment claimed. They believe it was all propaganda to claim we won the "space race" with Russia.
Amazing.

I think Buzz should be put in jail just like any other common violent criminal. And If you watch racing he could share a cell with Tony Stewart. Just because someone is famous does not give him the right to attack anyone.

And just because some creep is a journalist does NOT give him the right to harass and impede any citizen, whether he is famous or not. I would have done the same thing. Let's hear it for BUZZ! Tony Stewart is an arrogant [censored] who deserves to be punished. Buzz was just going about his business trying to get away from this guy.

Knucklehead I think you are right. Court is the wrong place to settle some disputes. As for CSAW's comment that they are celebritys and they should expect to be hounded. Just because they are celebrities doesn't mean that they don't have the right to say buzz off occasionally. I am a racing fan but I think Tony Stewart should get his A$$ whipped every so often and that would keep him in check. As for Buzz, good for you Buzz. He was a hero (and still is) back when heros had true grit, not when they hit a baseball and got paid 5 million a year to do it. Heros actually did something worth doing. Buzz is from the old school and I am glad of it.

As far as the conspiricy theory I wouldn't be so sure this guy is a quack. I just happened on the show one day and it raises many valid points. If the pictures are real and not doctored I think he might be on to something.
