BX -1 series skid guard

I got a BX25D in early December. I assumed it was simply a "D", after asking dealer they said they sold me a D-1. I noticed a "half" skidguard under it by the HST fan area. Is this something new? While it doesn't look like it guard anywhere near as good as aftermarket one, it does look like an attempt by Kubota to address the HST fan issue. I will try to post a pic tomorrow,if it is something new.

You mean this? If you ask me it was a nice try but it is clearly under engineered.

Yes that is the piece I was referring to. Is that a new feature they added, or has it been there a while?

The BXpanded underarmor is much better. Here it is installed on my tractor.

My 25D-1 has the same thing. I'm still adding a full skid plate because I work in the woods pretty often.

I also plan on getting a full skid guard. Got the BXpanded tooth bar and love it. One of the main jobs for my tractor is removing 6-10ft tall trees and underbrush.
