Thanks to all you folk's for the input,The end result was a BX2230,60"mmm,FEL,54"blade,I just didn't feel that theBX 1500 was going to handle the rotary cutter, most people felt the extra power and heavier loader's advantage's will be worth the extra $1800 down the road.Had my last tractor 27 years if this one or myself are around that long works out to about 70 bucks a year more. Thanks a lot Red

Good choice but a BH would have been nice.
I would still like to have a BX 1500 with a tiller and a front blade to use in addition to my BX23
I don't need extra power or a heaver loader as I have that with the bx 23.
I still have my first tractor; the 1966 Bolens I bought new.

I do believe he stated he had a specifc budget. Yeah, a BH would be nice, but it wasn't on his list and I don't think he mentioned that he needed or wanted one.

When you start down that slippery slope of machine acquisition it is amazing what a person will discover they need.

Wise words indeed. I didn't think I could justify the extra cost for the 23 (I have the 2230). I really wanted the BH but didn't think I'd need one and figured I'd be going overboard getting the 23 even though the BH seemed very cool.

After removing 6 downed trees this summer, spending hours cutting out the stumps and even using my truck to pull out some of the more stubborn ones I'm really cursing myself for not getting the 23 instead. I know I can add the woods BH, but for me its just easier to make the initial plunge at one time. Scraping together the money now is much harder.

I've seen some amazing work done with that BH when it comes to stump removal -- can't remember who's pics but they were from out in Washington state.

1*I debated about getting the BX2230 or the B2410 without a BH over buying the BX23. Decided On the BX23 because I figured I'd kick my self later if I didn't get the BH. After doing so many task with the BH I'm sure glad I went with the BX23. It sure feels good not to be cursing myself.
At 0% financing the BH on the BX23 only ran 105 dollars more a month than the BX2230.
The BX23 payment is 418 a month the B2410 without a BH would have been around 458 per month.
I pay 425 monthly on my BX 23. At 425 a month the BH was paid off in 9 months.
2*Right but it will cost more than the BX23 OEM BH, and you well have to contend with A ROPS that isn't high enough to accommodate the BH.
3* That's usually the case > especially when you have to scrape up more money.
I also considered the fact that the OEM BH was financed at 0% compared to the Woods BH financed at 5 or more percent.

Whats more is all the buzz about the bx24. I'm strongly considering trading up if my dealer cuts the price on a 23 in order to clear them out for the new 24s. A lot depends on the deal I can get and how much of a bath I take on the 2230 but its a tempting idea to explore. If I can keep the price difference within 100/mo then I'd probably go for it.
