Actually, Hedgy and I both mentioned that screen. The O.P. did say that the problem is not related to debris in the filters or radiator, as the tractor is brand new. Still, it is worth checking because dealers will sometimes let prospective buyers demo a new unit. It is not unusual for a "new" tractor to have 2 or 3 hours on it due to the dealer allowing prospective buyers to test it out.

montelatici, just in case your dealer allowed someone else to test drive this tractor while cutting some thick grass, (that prospective buyer may have even run a 36" brush hog behind it), it may be worth it to check both the exterior and interior screens, as well as the radiator face, for debris.

Maybe you should see what temp the motor is running at. Use a infrared thermometor pointed at the water jacket or use an old fashion automotive ac thermometer in the coolant. With the low hours you have, the rad air screens shouldn't be clogged yet, but check anyway.

I will do all those things, but I will also ask the dealer to take a look at it, might as well take advantage of the warranty.
