BX 2200 Competition From MF??

It was a water cooled Kawasaki engine (I believe). Its wierd to drive what looks like a tractor but sounds like a lawnmower. I guess you could get used to it.

Price was $9995 which was $5 less than the Kubota B7500 I had looked at 1/2 an hour earlier. The Kubota seemed much more substantial. The Cub's transmission had a very loud "whine" as well. I will say that it was a decent little tractor, but it needs to be priced lower, IMHO.

Truth be known, it is a nice little unit, a direct BX knock off, and substantially cheaper, but has MF ever given Kubota a competition? They could if they had better dealer/distrobution/parts networks. I might run into a customer shopping MF once in every 20-25 Kubotas I sell, and I have 2 MF dealers within 12 miles. Green is still my only real competitor, and after people get to see the new 4000 Ten series, and the 500's, that'll start to change too.
