Purchased a BX 2200 with MMM, FL,rear blade 6/29/02. Delivered 6/30/02. After delivery the first thing was to check out the unit to make sure a of the fluid levels where at the proper levels. Decided to go out and play a little. Grass was cut already and I tried to match the mower setting to the existing cut. In doing so I noticed that anti scalping wheels did not look right. On two of them the bolt wore into the wheel about 1 ". Pins were set at 4holes showing at the top from the dealer. Went to check my manual and found the wrong one, dirty, holes in it and actually for the 7500 model deck. The tractor manual had most of the pages stuck together. Needles to say I was PO. Now I have a major oil leak at the left side of the tractor looking from the rear. Nothing showing in the little dip stick. Any suggestions. If I would have a trailer to transport the unit would be sitting at the dealer and I would demand and get my money back. $12000 is a lot to pay for a piece of---------. Thanks for any input. Of course I must mention that this is Florida and things get done differently here(BARF) Thanks for any help

Sounds like you almost got a used machine. Did it have any hours on it? I love my B7500 so far but I have a small HST leak after 6 hours. Hopefully it is minor as a reply suggested.

I can't believe that you got a 7500 deck. The 2200 deck and the 7500 are different. The 2200 has a suspended deck and the the 7500 has a deck with wheels that rides on the ground.

Good luck and hope everything works out.

It sounds like you have a dealer problem creating the tractor problem. The BX is a fine machine and I wouldn't give up on it but I would have some serious words with your dealer, review the complaint list one by one and straighten this out. The machine is under warranty so fixing these minor problems should not be a big deal. My BX 2200 has 28 hours and has worked just fine except for a hydraulic line leak for the FEL. It turned out that the threaded connections weren't tightened at the valve, the fix by the dealer was easily done in one hour. It has been fine since so don't panic, your problems are likely to be as easily solved.

Please Explain

The only problem that we have here in Florida is that every loser from everywhere else in the country moves here. (must be the heat, humidity, and bugs that they like) They come here with the attitude that they are smarter than all of us stupid southern hicks. The people that are from here seem to do just fine.

The first words out of their mouths is "nobody down here knows how to drive." Guess what, that's because 80% of them are from the same place they are from.

I still can't figure out how everyone up there is paid 5 times what we make yet everything up there is 1/3 the price. Go figure. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Signs in store around here read " There will be a minimum charge of $20.00 to listen to how much bigger, cheaper, and better everything is up north" /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

They move down here and can not make a living then it is all our fault because of our inferior intellect. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Like the bumper sticker says. "I-95 runs both ways"

Ya'll have a nice day ya hear /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
Stupid Floridian who does fine.

This loser moved to Florida because of Lyme disease. I was a County Surveyor in Ohio and had to retire at age 40. Iwould not wish LD on my worst enemy. I think I made out alright 5000sq ft home on 8 acres. Bought from an MD that needed cash. Every car repair that I have ever had to do had to be redone. The leak is probably a connection from the Dealer installing the loader. Not one fitting on the FL had been greased. Mower deck the same. Everything was checked by their chief inspector, go figure.

Main point to all of you. Know the signs of Lyme Disease, get informed. All of us like the outdoors, right. Else we would not have bought a BOTA. Take care and be aware.

I think the "chief inspector" decal goes on at the factory and the FEL and MMM are dealer installed options. I am not sure how even an inventive dealer could have shoe horned the deck from a 7500 under a BX--I do not think that is possible. I do not think it is possible to install the wheel assemblies from the 7500 60 inch deck on the BX MMM either. Can you take some pictures because inquiring minds would like to know.
I am not sure why Lyme disease requires one to move to Fla. either but I do wish you well with your illness, I know that ailment can cause a lot of problems for infected people.
Perhaps you are not a 'bota fellow. Maybe take it back and go buy a JD4010 or a NHTC18. I had the opportunity to use a TC18 at my cousins place down home over the holiday. It was a real smile generator. Course I am still partial to the BX but there are other tractors out there if you don't like yours. Warning, a loose fitting will leak on a JD or NH just as badly as on a 'bota. Good luck, and go get yourself a grease gun, it will be very handy. J

Hey Kraut, I just got bit by a deer tick myself a week ago (lucky I saw the little bugger), and I am taking no chances. Though they say the critter has to be on you for 24 to 48 hours to transfer the bacteria. My doctor prescribed Doxycycline as a preventative measure. I've been taking it twice a day for a week and another week to go. [By the way Doxycycline is one of the medications used to treat anthrax. We are talking strong stuff] This stuff is a WHOLE lot stronger than penicillin, and it is making me feel pretty awful the past few days ... but it's a small price to pay for not getting Lyme Disease.

A friend of mine got it she was very sick for a year and never really recovered, she has headaches and it gave her arthritis. I hope it is not that bad for you.

I never felt so wiped out taking an antibiotic though, it feels like it is sucking the life out of me. The other thing it said was the medication makes you very sensitive to sunlight well here it is the middle of summer and of course I am out in the yard. I thought I would just goop on the sunscreen and be fine ... WRONG. I got some sunburn even with #30 SPF sunscreen while taking this stuff.

Like they say 'read and follow label directions'.

Yep,Got the Deer Tick right in the gonads this past May,think I found it in time, also took Major League Antibiotics several days.

Was told to stay out of the sun,so I dressed in long sleeves and pants, but still worked outside. The tops of my hands blistered as if I had a bad sunburn. But,no symptoms soo far,the bit itself has finally healed up and everything seems O.K.
