BX 2200 HST light on

My next door neighbor's BX2200's HST light came on when she started the engine. The hour meter doesn't work so she doesn't know how long its been since the transmission oil has been changed. I checked the oil level and found it OK. This evening I changed the oil for her, replaced the filter and cleaned the screen. The screen had quite a bit of metal shavings but was by no means stopped up. I put in about 2.7 gal. of super UDT. It comes to the upper mark on the dipstick. The HST light is still burning even after I let the engine run at slow speed for several minutes. Any ideas?

nbennett The light should never come on because it is not hooked up to anything. My first guess would be that someone grounded the wire that would be hooked up to a sensor if it had one.

That makes sense because she told me someone in her family had recently fixed the lights. Thanks. I will pass this on to her.
