I loosened and removed the wrong plug while changing the hydraulic fluid on my BX 2200. I removed the plug right next to the filter. Problem is a spring and ball bearing came out. I put the bearing on top of the spring and stuck it back in and put the plug back. Does anyone know if I could have caused any problems? I have not started the BX since adding fluid back.
Thanks

KPotts, My memory is a bit foggy, but I'm pretty sure someone discussed this on a thread a year or two ago. I'd dig through 'em, but don't have time right now. Try using the Search function with "BX hydraulic" or something like that. You might have to go back a ways in time, but I think you'll find something to address your problem. Good luck!

I was Mr. Stooooopid and did the same thing. I kept reciting the mantra: Read the Book, Read the Book, read the book.......... The ball of mine rolled into the oil pan, so I had to dump the oil to retrieve the ball.

I think you assembled it correctly; I think it's a spring loaded deal, so if the oil pressure is too high, it compresses the spring and allows oil to flow. Maybe if the filter is plugged.

As I recall, no oil came out of mine when I removed it, and I've run it 20 Hrs since re-installing it, with no issues.

Ron,
Thanks for the help. I had a friend at church this morning who told me the same thing. I ran it about an hour today and all seems OK.
