Ok can I reroute the oil filter

Are we talking engine oil filter or transmission filter? Both have pressure bypass valves. As to rerouting I would think it would be difficult if it is too damaged to accept a filter. Pictures would be a big help. If it's just the threaded nipple broken off, they are a replaceable part. You can go to Messick's and see the parts breakdown.

It's the transmission hydraulic oil filter broke off it's a machine circle with a healey coil around it I was just wondering if I could move the oil filter up what I need to know is what the spring and ball bearing and nut underneath the filter is for can I attach lines and run them to the oil filter in a different area

Does the spring and ball bearing act as a regulator or a check valve for the transmission filter spring is visible with the filter off

It's a bypass valve. Opens when pressure gets too high due to cold oil or dirty filter and allows oil to bypass the filter. So is the filter mount damaged? The only filter relocations I've seen have a ported plate that screws on in place of the filter and then hoses are run to the relocated filter. If the filter mount is damaged I don't see how this is going to work. A picture would help to see what you are up against.

I'm going to try and aluminum weld it and put new Healey coil on but I would like to see the bypass with the ported plate would like to do that cause the filter is in a bad spot I have the backhoe and front end loader on mine I will get pictures in a few minutes busy with this and work will post them shortly and thanks for the help it's greatly appreciated my work depends on my Kubota

I have a BX22 which is the TLB version of a BX2200. I know where the filter is and has never been a problem for me, but I'm out on the prairie and don't have the ground hazards that some encounter. Is your HST fan still intact? That is more prone to damage than the filter. I would look at JEGs for a relocation plate. I do not know if they have one that size. Have you thought about a skid plate instead of relocation?

Thanks for all your info I got a hold of a machine shop and they are going to hook me up wasn't me that did the damage I was off looking at a job offer and the one guy thought he knew it all and not even sure how he even did it but when I got back to the work site it was parked and he didn't even say anything about it was I fuming when I found it well that guy doesn't work for me probably would of kept him on but the disrespect and not owning up wasn't respectful so I wasn't respectful when I fired him I wasn't even going to ask him to pay for it and I'm still not asking him to pay for it work is more than a job it's a team no respect could cause carelessness don't need that I will let you all know what the machine shop does to fix it will have before and after pictures for all of ya's
