Just got my BX 2200 and noticed that it turns to the left much tighter than it turns to the right. I called the dealer and he said it was OK to turn the stopper bolt on the right side so as to shorten the bolt and decrease the turn radius. But it didn't help. It's not really a bad problem, but I would prefer that it turn equal to the left. Anyone else notice this?

Sounds like a set-up problem. Ask the dealer to send one of his guys out if you are in any doubt about what to do.

You can adjust the turning angle on the BX by setting the length of the bolts. The right side bolt should be 25mm and the left side bolt should be 20mm. According to the service manual, it looks like the BX is designed to turn tighter to the left than right. In addition to the measurements above, it gives the following instructions:

1. Inflate the tries to the specified pressure
2. Loosen the lock nut and shorten the length of left stopper bolt.
3. Steer the wheels to the extreme left.
4. Lengthen the length of the stopper bolt until the stopper bolt contacts with the bevel gear case.
5. Return the steering wheel to straight ahead and lengthen the stopper bolt a half turn from the above position.
6. Lock the stopper bolt by lock nut.
7. do the same procedure for the right side.

Thanks. I did all that. Didn't seem to help. I think the key is that the tractor is built to turn sharper to the left. I shortened the stopper bolt quite drastically on the right, but the limiting factor seems to be the length of the throw of the hydraulic cylinder. I just wanted to know if other BX 2200 owners had noticed this.

Never accurately measured it but I think my turns sharper to the left also by some small amount. makes sense since the discharge chute is to the right that all the trees and edges will be kept to the left so the sharpest turn is needed there. I will go see. J
