Over the weekend while working in the woods I had a little problem. A small stick in the trail popped up under the tractor and shredded the HST fan and rear coupling bearing cover (just to the front of the transaxle). Obviously repairs are in order and will be done. To prevent this from happening again, is there a skid plate commercially available to protect the under carriage? Of course the 60" MMM would prevent a future stick from going where it does not belong, but, carrying the MMM into the woods for just this purpose is not practical.
I believe previously I have seen postings concerning this issue, but the guards and/or skid plates were fabricated at home by folks much more clever than I.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
engineer
