bx 2230 hesitates???

my mom owns a bx 2230 mower. it has been stuttering for a few weeks... i told her to take it in, probably needs new fuel filters. of course, she still ran it. i went on my off day, got the filters, installed them, runs alot better, but still the once in awhile stutter. has the fuel pump been damaged? thanks for the input.

I doubt the pump has been damaged.Did you change them both?Did you check the old one for water in the fuel?If there is water in your tank or bad fuel [ loaded with dirt] your new filter will not be able to handle it for it is only small.Then you will most likely need to drain tank and start with fresh clean fuel.Check Air filter also,unless you run in a dusty dirty place my money is on the fuel.
