The (L7200-JR) is specifically designed for a Sub Compact tractor.
Concur. When Mr. AceDeuce originally purchased the PHD, he paid for a JR and got the full-on model. It fit, so he just went with it. Or as the story goes.

I think the JR is the more appropriate model and you can't go wrong by getting it.

You'll probably still need to deal with a draggy tip, though. Nothing a strap won't fix.

I just got the 7200jr. It is a pretty stout unit, and I don't see the need for extra boom lift or wider "U" bracket.

I know this doesn't help with the BX, but here it is pictured on a 20hp Yanmar.

This may be a bit off topic but how do the post hole diggers do in rocky areas? Here in NH the rocks grow right out of the ground...I don't think I could dig 6" down before hitting a decent sized rock.

Just wondering how many bits get busted or worse....

I know the JR has the yellow U bracket as pictured on Tony123's machine. I was worried that my Kubota sales rep might make the same mistake and, order the full size.

I must have asked him 4 times to make sure it he ordered the JR. I believe yours has the black U bracket?? Nice to know it would fit anyway.

That does look like a hefty unit, nice looking Yanmar also. How hard is it to change out the post hole digger? Do you keep it on a skid or rack of some sort when it's off of the machine. I plan to build some shelves or racks of some sort for out in my shed as I acquire more attachments. My garage is crowded enough with tools. Thanks for the picture.

Guess I'm gonna find out, my ground is pretty rocky along with clay and shale. I'm sure Keith, Ace or Tony can chime in on that. I figure I better go get at least 12 shear pins to start with.

I also read on here these post hole diggers like to get stuck between roots and rock. Sometimes the only way to get them back out is to use a pipe wrench give it a turn or two in the opposite direction. Worst case dig them out by hand. Not looking forward to doing any digging, done enough of that.

Those look nice...bet they are spendy...

I hope in the next couple of years to put a pole barn and I will need to either rent or buy a PHD. My neighbor used a gas driven one it seemed to work for him. So maybe I'll be ok...
