bx 23 or NH 1215

I have been working on trading my BX2200 for a BX23. Dealer worked out a deal, then i found a NH 1215 for around the same price as i can trade for . It only has 300 Hrs. on it and it has a backhoe and Fel. I could by the NH and keep my BX. what would you guys do. How does the 1215 compare to the BX23. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif i know it has manual steering and its gear drive. but havent been able to try it out because of health problems this week.

Do you really want 2 tractors with almost identical capabilities? I thought about a NH 1210 ($4,800 with a 48" bush hog), but I really wanted the TLB config. with a MMM. the BX22/23 is such a handy jack-of-all-trades, I'm not sure the 1215 could compete, even as a TLB. Its so easy to change that BX22 from a TLB to a first class mower, etc. But then again, you'd have the BX2200 too... You're probably gonna wind up with the same abilities, no matter which way you go. Seems to me it boils down to higher storage and maintenance costs of two tractors vs. higher price for the BX 22.

But then again, you could also be member of the Henro club with the 1215 and BX2200. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif An immeasurable plus.

I love having 2 tractors. I keep the backhoe on one and use the other for drawn equipment and brush hogging. On most jobs I use the backhoe to loosen adn remove roots and rocks and then drag with a box blade or york rake. Much quicker with a backhoe, but when I had one tractor it was such a pain to change that I used the backhoe and did the dragging with the front bucket. No where near as efficient. Maintaince on 2 tractors is no big deal since it is all hour based.
