Is Kubota going to replace all the fenders on the BX24's or just those that break? I have 100 hrs on my BX24 and they seem fine - but I only weigh 160 pounds.
I wish they would come up with a better tach/hour meter, one that's readable after 100 hrs of use and offer it as a free warranty replacement.

Love this website !

The new tach on mine does seem to be a little darker, at least the numbers do. The old one was dark gray on light gray and this one seems to have a little better contrast. My issue wasn't that, it was the fact that it would be totally blank about 25% of the time and neither the temp nor the fuel guage would work either.

As for the fenders, if it is true that Kubota has a kit to reinforce these clearly defective fenders as well as a redesigned fender, then to me it is obvious that these were poorly designed in the first place and should be recalled. As for me, I hadn't even used the tractor since the dealer came out with the seat recall kit and my new tach. Is there a fender reinforcing kit as well, and if so, why aren't they installing them when the install the seat kits?

The Law calls your theory "subsequent remedial measures" (as a side note, such measures are usually not admissible in court to prove defective design because allowing such evidence would tend to dissuade manufacturers from fixing things--that's what I remember from law school anyway).

My dealer just received the new fender this week and I dropped off my BX24 this morning. The fender was in the box. I'll know in a couple of days what the "reinforcement" is all about and post a few pictures over the weekend.

Other items of warranty service:
1. Front tire air leak from valve stem, possible stem replacement
(tube are not covered under warranty)
2. Battery cover replacement
(not yet available, but will order after seeing my problem)
3. Seat recall bracket

In order to get this work done without multiple trips I had to approach another local dealer, actually a bit closer to my home. The dealer I bought my tractor from required me to bring it in for inspection and determination for warranty coverage, then wait 3 weeks, and make the trip again. They actually suggested that for warranty I could take it to any dealer. Sounded like the 2-step shuffle not to have to recover the warranty costs from Kubota or just didn't want to fill out the paperwork. He's probably not in my consideration for any future business.

I How much did Kubota save with plastic body parts anyway? Was it worth the bad rap? I

It takes years to develop a good reputation and minutes to ruin it.
