Bx 24tlb getting delivered on Thurs

Hi all

I currently have a 3 yr old bx1500- upgrading to a bx24tlb- bought a bx24tlb w ind tires, canopy, grill guard, work lights, 60in mmm, 12 bucket for 17900-(5hrs on machine-demo-never worked). In order to get a decient price i had to get it shipped from the South to NY - the price includes 600 miles of shipping. Why is it that the dealers in ny think they can "take" us for all we have- i went to 3 dealers- best price was 17500 for a tlb with no mower, canopy, work lights, or grill guard.(wanted over 3 grand for those) I gave them all the oportunity to match the price and they all thought i was joking about the price i got, plus they all wanted to charge me 100 bucks delivery. I'd love to give the dealer down south a big thank you but i promised i would not mention them on this board- i guess the ny dealers might complain to kubota. A word of advise to all shopping in the ny-conn area- shop around....................btw i still love the 1500. but i could use the backhoe on the 24......ps i'd hate to tell ya what the locals wanted for a 7610....yikes.......and the lacal kubota dealers are cheap conpared to the local green dealers

YAY! On the machine. Not on all the dealer stuff. What a pain.

Joined in August 2004, but only 2 posts? Pretty impressive. That's taking "only speak when it's important" to an extreme degree. Let me guess...your first post was something like "Just got a BX1500...wow, that was expensive...local dealer extracted $23,450 from me and he didn't even give me a hat...hope I don't need a backhoe in 3 years...that'd be a bummer..."

Really, many congratulations. I'm sure the 24 will be a joy.

nah- my first post was where to get a tooth bar for the 1500= haven't had many questions, as the 1500 has been rock solid- btw i payed over 10.000 for the 1500 in 04---live and learn- same local dealers

that 10000 was w/o the loader which i bought a year later............

Wow. Bet you're glad you looked around this time.

I have to say, with the canopy and all, it seems you got a really nice price. Not a "set the world on fire" deal that will send everyone east of the Mississippi looking for your dealership, but a very solid, good, honest, feel-good-about-your-purchase price. Worth the digging.

I realize that people have to make money- i'm not lookin to beat anyone, but i don't like being ripped off either- i felt the price was fair, and i jumped on it- btw all 3 dealers here thought i was trying to pull a fast one on them by asking for the same deal...go figure

Before I bought my Massey I was quoted 17 flat for the 24TLB with 60" MMM. This was a new unit they just got in too... ?

ya- the 17900 was delivered 600 miles away- plus the work light, canopy and grill guard- delivery alone gotta be worth 500-700 i figure- now i gotta let the state know about the tx i owe...............
