Kubota BX 2660
I bought a BX 2660 last spring and it has been great so far.....I have used JDs for years and the last one a 322 served me well, but was such a bear changing over to winter not to mention its age so I bit the bullet and bought the Kubota which was a better deal by far.....removing the 60" mowing deck, triple bagger (similar to JD) and front loader was pretty easy.....installing the 2750D snow blower was a breese....no belts, no bolt adjustments, no swearing getting its very heavy frame mounted etc....so my long winded question is;
1) What grease should I use
2) Anyone had any issues with the 2750?
3) What RPM should I run it (25 hours on the meter)
4) Any thoughts, experience or advice is appreciated.
I think a battery grease gun may be the way to go
Almost looking forward to snow.......almost!

I run mine at 3000 RPM but I vary that with the snow depth and conditions

I searched for posts on Grease, and grease guns....the grease posts were 2007, and do I really need a battery or electric grease gun for one tractor? Probably not so I will look around and make sure it is greased properly as everything is brand new and don't want to learn an expensive lesson.

The cheapest grease gun with a flexible hose is the one I'd get. As for the grease, again I'd get the cheapest and don't be afraid to really use it.

1) I like Valvoline Crimson Red (napa).
2) Can't help.
3) Full pto rpm, probably max throttle.
4) Battery grease gun, are you kidding me? Not in my garage. A simple lever gun (napa) will give you more control and better 'feel', plus the arm is always charged and ready to go (can't say that about the battery, always dead in my drill when I need it most!).

I use napa red

2) Anyone had any issues with the 2750?
Yes, the issue I have is we did not get any snow yet.

I run my 2660 at 3000rpm. Your foot control is the bigger issue. Ground speed will control the amount of snow in the auger at one time.

You may want to invest in a cab of some sort. I am still getting by with my snowmobile helmet. On a windy day, I will come in just covered in snow.

Im looking at different cabs that guys built on TBN and getting ideas.

If the snow is wet and heavy, you have enough power to overwhelm the blower, if you try to go too fast.

You will want to make sure to use low range and invest in both types of shear pins ahead of time!!!

Although the fan shear pin looks to be the same size, in fact it is a heavier grade of metal.
If you try an auger shear pin in there, it won't last long.

Turn your chute to go with the wind instead of into it. :D

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

In 30 years I have become the snowman many times when the wind shifts......nothing wakes you up faster than to be completely "snow slimed" then its time keep blowing and get back in the house asap.....I still am estatic about how easy the blower assembly goes on....k
