BX 2750 Chute Problems?

I have a BX1800 with a BX2750 snowblower that I purchased new last fall. First good snowfall of the season here today and first experience with this blower. The way the chute has been set up you have to rotate the chute back towards the operator to go from side to side. It will not point forward. Seems dangerous to me. I have disassembled and reassembled to no avail. Stupid install or stupid operator? Answers to either helps. Thanks

Something is wrong Huck, the chute should rotate away from the operator. Someone on this board must have a similar set -up that they can take a picture to show you how it should be. Is this a front or 3ph mounted unit? Is the chute rotator manual or power operated? Could it be that it was assembled backwards and the rotating mechanism is upside down and 180 degrees out. There has to be a simple fix.

I thought so too. I have a manual rotator on a front mount set up. I flipped the chute 180 degrees, but there are no teeth on that side of the chute for the rotator mechanism to mesh with. There is another picture on this site of a similar chute, but the chute on that one is oriented differently than mine. My chute is welded to the toothed base plate opposite the one I have seen on this site. The only way I can figure this one is to break the welds holding the chute on and reweld correctly - but that would be one for the Kubota folks.
