My fathers BX bagger has stopped working. First thought it was the shear pin in the pro shaft.. Nope, then maybe the shear pin at the impeller...nope. It's obviously past the impeller, has anyone gotten that deep into one and how do you access stuff inside the lower frame / tube ?

Tom,
It's been a while since I've had mine apart, but there is a couple V Belts in there, it could be one of those.
It's a fairly simple rig-heavy as ****, but simple.

Good luck, let us know what you find!

Thx, I just looked up the shop manual on line and it looks like there may be shear pins at each end of the shaft, inside the tube. Looks like the lower portion of the box section needs to be unbolted. Didn't see any belts though. You are in Plymouth as well. We are probably neighbors.

Tom,
I realize now that I have a different bagged than you! Sorry for the mid-information!

PS. I'm actually a little North of Plymouth in Hanson

Got it fixed yesterday, it has about 10 bolts that hold the box together and then a big section comes off to allow access to the internal shaft. Replaced a shear bolt and all works again. I also added a couple shims to his relief valve while the wrenches were out.
