I see what you mean by the tranny being offset to one side. It might just be an optical illusion, but the pin that slides through the two lower lift arms on the U part of the frame doesn't look perfectly horizontal to the tranny. It is the pin that is held into the U part with side plates, and is notched on the right side to align itself with the right side plate. The bolts are tight, so there isn't a shift due to loose bolts.
If I can find a picture in the owner's manual, I'll scan it in and try to illustrate what I'm talking about.
