How do you cut the X? Plasma cutter? Just curious.

I have a friend that has a computer operated plasma cutter and he cuts them out for me. If I took the time to grind out the letters with a die grinder, I could get the edges smoother, but then your adding a lot of time to the fabrication and I'd have to charge $400 for them /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I think they look pretty good just the way they are. Thanks for asking.............Bill

Is the Grill Guard standard or an extra cost option on the BX23?

The grille guard that you see on the BX23's and 22's is standard. I believe there is a different grille guard that you can get for the other BX's as an option.

The grill guard is standard on the BX23. There is no standard grill guard, that comes with the tractor, for the BX1500, 1800, 2200, 1830 and 2230. You can buy the guard that is on the BX23 ($215 list) and it will fit on all the BX tractors or you can buy the guard for the FEL, which is made out of flat steel, no round bars, ($145 list) this will also fit all the BX models. Kubota's website may have a photo of the latter guard. I just verified this info with my dealer.

I would say trademark if anything but I do not see anything after BX22 or Bx23 online...so it looks to be a free-for-all.

Jim, There's nothing that I could find anywhere about copyright or trademark issues. Mine is made a little different ie, the letters are block and the factory one has Roman letters. Mine is also different if looked at from the side. If had I used the Kubota name in any way, that would of been an infringement.
