Hello all. I visit here often but rarely log in. I get all my answers from the vastly knowledgable members here at tractorbynet.

I was contemplating something and wanted to see if anyone here had experience or knew of any home made loader arm attatchments anyone has ever made before.

I have a 2012 bx2660 (last year before def and regeneration and all that). I bought it new in march of 2012. I have a chipper, balast box, and home made trailer mover/ultility puller i made up for my three point hitch.

I'm still fairly young at 38 and i like to in my free time purchase used equipment at auctions, some of which has been used military equipment on websites like govplanet and govliquidation.

I have a 2009 1500 ram and just got a 16' 10,000 lb gvwr landscape trailer this spring to replace another i had which wasnt what i needed.

Frequently i'll bring something home, equipment, a cord of log length wood, what not, and wish i had something on the front of my tractor OTHER than a bucket. I have been meaning to purchase some of kens bolt on hooks for pulling logs off my trailer with, and for general utility purposes. They are awesome hooks, and i have planned on buying them for over a year now but something always come up and i put the purchase off.

I'm pretty handy and have a nice hobart welder and access to steel stock and scrap at a local steel shop for fair market prices. I have often purchased stock and welded an implement or tool up rather to going out and buying something which i can easily make myself.

One thing i have been meaning to buy for a LONG time is a plasma cutter. One is for sale locally. A miller 375 extreme with less than an hours use on it and i'm itching to buy it.

My plans are to remove the bucket on my bx and weld up some kind of large plate which the loader arms would attatch to, which i could weld hooks too, a receiver for pintle hitches and ball hitches to pull stuff off my trailer etc. also was thinking of cutting in some slots to make a 'chain comb' (forget the name you guys call it) so i can wrap the chain thru the slots and around objects i ned to move.
I don't know if there is a company who makes this plate, but i'd rather make my own.

I don't know how to search here for what i'm looking for. I tried a few words but what do you call what i'm trying to make?

Also i read somewhere online that there are quick attatch devices for the bx series of tractors. I don't know of they are factory kubota devices or otherwise. I wouldn't mind checking them out to get an idea of how to make mine, but i wouldn't spend the money on one when i can make mine to suit.

If you guys can help, i'd very much appreciate it. Thanks!

Just a couple of the things i made. A frame for my tomato sprayer which sits on my harbor freight quick hitch, and my trailer/log splitter/utility mover.

A boom pole on the rear will lift more than a boom on the loader.

Here's one:

You can adapt an engine hoist to the rear 3 point. The tractor can lift or move light loads. For heavy loads you set it down next to the trailer, lift, and drive the trailer out from under.

I've also seen the tall and short pickup cranes used front or rear. You need a way to stop the side swing.

If you are gonna mess with loader implements, get a SSQA kit. The world is your oyster & you now have access to a world of tractor & skidsteer impliments. Takes a minute to change em out.

I have the QH for my BX25 FEL. If the BX25 bucket pins are the same as yours it should work on your earlier BX. I am in the process of making a piece of 6" channel to fit the QH. then I will make forks, grapple and other items to fit the Channel assembly. Plan to have a way to attach a 3PT QH to the channel assembly also.

Harry at bxpanded.com told me quite a while ago that he was going to fabricate a QH mechanism for the BX25 FEL which would accommodate palette forks that are right up against the loader arms instead of out at the end of the bucket like the ones he makes now. However, I have been unable to get an update from him on that project.

Just to avoid confusion, a QH (Quick Hitch) mounts on the three point and connects three point implements to the tractor.

A QA (Quick Attach) mounts on the FEL (Front End Loader) and connects attachments that have a SSQA (Skid Steer Quick Attach) plate on the back.
