Yesterday doing my spring cleanup the loader was working fine. I removed the BT600 Backhoe and installed the mowerdeck and bagger. After about an hour I went to use the loader to lift a downed tree and the loader wouldn't lift. Right now I have figured out that if I move the joystick slowly and don't go full stroke the loader will go up very slowly. It won't go down at all unless I move the joystick to float then it will go down when the fluid dumps. Afriend with a BX said that he had to change a bad hydraulic Quick Disconnect for a similar problem. I unplugged every one then re-plugged them and it made no diffirence. Do you think it could be a bad quick disconnect or maybe the joy stick valve?

Also where can I order a manual for the BX22?

Thanks Tom

Disconnect and reconnect them again and the problem will be resolved. I have the same problem with my BX22 sometimes, and it can be frustrating trying to figure out why. One of the disconnects isn't making complete contact and opening correctly.

Thanks, Junkman I'll give it another try and let you know how I made out!

Took off all the Quick Disconnects several times each and no change. Still no down and only very slow up. Any other thoughts? Should I try swapping quick disconnects with the bucket cylinder?

check the position of the 3 point hitch lever. Move it back and forth a few times. Also check the quick disconnects at the frame on the right side at the bottom of the engine shroud. Not that familiar with the hydraulic connections on the newer BX series, but if it is similar as the earlier versions, then there are quick disconnects located there...

Ran into a similar problem just after I had reinstalled the FEL to carry some debris after mowing w/the BX23 for the 1st time. Ended up I had left the 3PH raise/lower lever in the raised position when I had raised the MMM. Seems the 3PH will steal just about all the pressure from the FEL & BH when used.
Like others have suggested, I'd recheck and make sure the 3PH lever is in the neutral position.

Good luck

It was the 3 point lever! After changing the quick connects and a couple of hours of frustration I finally noticed that the 3 point lever was in the up position. Moved it to neutral and the FEL work like normal again. Thanks for the advise! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It only took me the first day to start driving my BX23 around with the parking brake on. I'm sure I would have done this too without reading about it here first. Hopefully, when my time comes, I will remember why the FEL won't go up.
Thanks.
Allen
