Can anyone help me with how I can put a smaller than standard deck on my BX1800. I have some tight places to get through and a 48" deck would be much better for my application. I've heard that Kubota offers the 48" deck in Europe but not in the US. Is there another brand of deck that I can reliably attach or is there a way to get the Kubota 48" deck from overseas? Thanks muck for the help

First action when I read this, was to go out to the BX with a tape measure. Was skeptical that a 48" belly deck would exist. Looks like there could be such an option, but would be a tight fit. If you have tight spaces, would a small 3-pt. mower work? A 48" rear deck would give you a tighter fit (doesn't have the additional footprint for a side discharge).

First if you don't have a loader, get one...then you can make those narrow areas wider/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Just thought I'd mention something else I discovered with my garden tractor/mower. I opted for a smaller deck on it as I too have some really tight places I'd like to take it. There is a trade off in this though, that you can't use the mower to trim as well as the mower doesn't extend out past the tires as much. Of course my lawn is screwed up anyway, lots of square corners! Am going to "redesign" it for the rider. (Can't spend any excess time mowing when there are bigger tractors to play on!)
