BX Neutral Return Position

My M-F GC2310 does the same thing. Haven't played with the linkage(s) yet, but do keep it lubed. I just tap the pedal and/or lower to idle speed and/or shift to neutral-- in addition to applying brake firmly. Been "caught" close a few times. I just keep in mind that creeping is a definite possibility, but once in a while get reminded rather directly.

I think if you look at the geometry of the pedal return spring, that is the problem. I think when you have the pedal only part way down, the return spring isn't stretched out very far, and the dampner has enough force to keep the pedal from returning. I've gotten kind of used to the way my BX acts and have never really thought any of these topics, rather it was the sudden reverse, or the crepping forward after you let off the pedal, to be problems. I'm sure if I look at something hard enough, rather its my tractor, car or truck, I'd can find things I would change, but I've always been the kind of person to adapt and enjoy the stuff I've got.
