Do any of you run a rotary cutter behind your BX?
If so, is 42" as wide as one could use or is the 48" size feasible?

Thanks,

I pull a Rhino SE-4 (48") behind my BX2200 with no problem.

I'm probably the weird one on this site, but I look at things a little differently. I have a 54" MMM, but if I were to buy a rear mower, I'd get a 5' if new or a 6' trail behind if I could find a cheap, used one.
Yes it's too big for the BX. But the only time it would be too large if you were cutting weeds 6' tall. If you cut that once, then the next time you used it, the stuff would likely be <12" tall and you could easily cut it with the 6'. To me, going slow on the first trip to do it faster on subsequent trips would be a good tradeoff.

Just my $.02.

I have a 48" KK XB model. The BX will, in general, handle that size. There are some difficulties concerning the Cat 1 3PH connections and lift height. That's why I chose the XB version (because it was made for subcompacts). The FEL serves as a good counterweight.

Thanks for the response men. After using the search feature I found quite a few BX owners use the 48" rotary cutter. The BX is looking more and more like the machine I need.
