BX snow removal or 1000lb ATV?

I did a comparison between my B5200 with FEL and my Grizzly 660 w/ 60" plow yesterday. On my 240' concrete driveway with expansion joints, the FEL was less than practical with catching unexpected expansion joints. It did push up hill from the bottom to the top with 4-6" of somewhat wet snow. But it also go stuck trying to get back into the barn over a 2" lip.....in 4wd. After several attempts I had to use the fel to drag it in....
now the ATV gets WAYYYY more traction than the Kubota, even while pushing accumulated snow piles much higher than the blade back to make more room in low range. I have even kicked around doing my mowing with the ATV in an effort to fight the high price of maintaining both machines. The ATV is MUCH cheaper to maintain and purchase.;)

I plowed a 9" & 6" snowfall with my RTV 500. It did a surprisingly good job, better than my Yamaha ATV. Not as fast, but it moved the snow well. Had to adapt the plow so that it would minimize gravel pick up. Never tried it with my BX23, but I would probaly only use the FEL for moving piles.

On asphalt, this is a great at moving snow.

I must recant my post, as after losing a plow skid from the quad plow, I used the B5200 with counter weight and FEL to sift through my large plile of snow to look for it.....That would have been wayy too much work without the FEL. And moving the snow with it goes alot better with a little practice.:D

I have a BX23 with the kubota 4 way plow and a Polaris Quad with a plow lifted by a winch and I believe that they work very well together. I have about 750 feet of gravel drive and use the quad when the snow is light and the BX when the snow is deep or heavy. I also use the BX to move the banks back and have had more than a few snowfalls that the quad just seemed to be working too hard due to the weight of the snow. I tried to buy a snowblower for the Kubota this year but was told that it may come next summer and told the salesman to forget it.

How about a sidebyside? I got rid of my atv and Bought a kawasaki Teryx. Man I will never go back.

Plow is a 72 inch and I got a 200 dollar cab on it. Man I can clear my 450 ft drive way in 15 minutes and we get a lot of snow up here!

I don't believe you!

I would believe you if you posted a couple of pics of it, though. :D

Ok here you go![/QUOTE]

Just curious, What's it like to plow with the soft cab?...Can you see well out of the plastic windows? I was thinking of getting one of those, but that was my main concern.
