BX sticking hydo pedal

spraying the linkages does zero. I posted on it back in Oct I think. IT comes down to a plate by the rear wheel that just needs to be adjusted.

Rosco,

I didn't keep my BX long enough to solve that problem, but I definetly had it. And my grease zirk worked fine. I greased the daylights out of it.

My theory is that there is more than one cause for this problem, since different people have done different things to solve it, while others have done everything and it still sticks.

I noticed on mine that as long as the tractor was not running, the pedal would snap right back. It was only while the engine was running that it would be slow to return. That told me that my problem was probably inside the bowels of the beast, and not likely to be the (external) linkage. You may want to do this test on yours.

Good luck.

KILLER_B... Thanks for the tip. I will check my BX.

Mike,
I just read your old post on the sticking pedal. The web page you set up in not active anymore. Any way you can send the directions on the fix via email or another temp web page? Yahoo, or such, thanks, bw

Let me look at home. At work doing some Pratt and Whitney junk and it is driving me NUTS! I will look tonight.

But if if you sit on the BX and on the right tire they is a gold colored plate. You will need to stand by that tire and bend down to look. You will see a plate about 6 inches toward the front of the BX. There will be a nut on the plate. That is what you adj.

I owned a John Deere 790 prior to the Kubota I have now. I traded it in for the same reason you are griping about Kubota. I had serious warrenty problems & deere would not come threw. I finally called & wrote so many times, They finally respond & said " if you dont like then sell it!" So I took their advise & did just that for a Kubota. Glad I did!

Rossco,

My guess is that there are different reasons why the BX hydro pedal sticks.

Mine did it and all I did was spray the linkage with something like Bolt Buster penetrating oil, real well, and rather than drifting to a stop, I ended up with neck-snapping stops, almost enough to make me wish for a little sticky pedal to come back!

So don't write off the simple solution until you see it doesn't help. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It sure did in my case. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
