The BX is small enough that putting the wheel weights on/off is manageable for a homeowner type person. There are those situations where the owner does not want the extra weight. Wheel weights provide an option, whereas filling tires is a rather full time commitment to the weight.
I did that. 10 gallons of -35 washer fluid plus 1 1/2 gallons of water. Right after finishing this, I drove it to the steepest part of my lawn. I have mowed this area for years with my little green STX 38, but I usually slide one cheek onto the fender. I parked my BX and got off, pushed on the roll bar and easily lifted the rear wheel off the ground. Granted, I had my FEL on yet and I will normally drop that to mow, but that told me that I could certainly do better yet.
Made me really wonder about my pucker factor that I had mowed it the first time with the BX, tires unloaded, and FEL on. Yikes!
No spacers. I'm not sure if I could. I looked at my mower, and while it seems to cut just fine, it appears the previous owner may have smacked it into something and bent it backwards some. I'll have to look at it. It's the 60 inch.
