Final Post ( I think).
Used tractor again this weekend. At first, same issue, not much hook-up between that 15 ponies and the wheels. Then I thought, what the He**.
Put bucket against a big oak, rev'd her up all the way and tried to push in low range.
At first, nothing.
Then, about 20 seconds into this, two wheels started to turn in the gravel-one front and one rear. Pushed on the diff-lock pedal. Now one front wheel and two rear wheels are digging holes in the gravel, and engine starts to lose rpm a little. This seems to be normal to me. A day later, it stll all works like I think it should. In other words, as soon as the tractor cannot move, wheels spin immediately and engine sounds like it is loading down.
What I think happened is a piece of something lodged in the relief valve, bleeding off hydraulic pressure. My torture test opened the valve wide enough for the chunk of whatever to dislodge. Now the valve only opens when pressure gets too high, the way it was designed. All is well, Kubota is great, Allah is great, Diesel is the man, God is good and
