I am pretty sure the leak is from one of the fittings on the block. This is the third time in 50 hours. There was regular teflon tape and fittings were finger loose when I did it the first time. So I did the teflon pipe dope wraped with teflon tape and it took all of about 4 hours to start leaking again. Did the pink tape and no pipe dope and still a leak %^&*##%@#$^!!!!
This is not rocket science, am I the only one with this problem? I am going to replace the o-rings but before I do it again does anyone know if there is a diferent block for adding rear remotes or the o-ring size ?
Thanks Steven

I wouldn't use Teflon tape, but I would use a good quality of semi soft setting pipe dope. Why not give it back to the dealer to repair? It could be a factory defect and if you keep messing with it, they might not want to warranty the problem if you are unsuccessful in resolving it. You paid for the warranty in the purchase price, so you might as well get some benefit from it. Besides, if you have additional valve problems down the road, you will have covered your "rear" by going back to the dealer with it....

Thanks Junkman /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My dealer blew it off, I took it apart so its my fault....on a good note though. I know where its leaking and I know its the dealers fault after talking with the previous owner whom I trust more than the dealer.
The top tube fitting flare was overcompressed (I believe) which is were it is seeping. I thought about what I could do, live with sounds like what I am going to do for a while. I might replace the hard lines and fittings going to the block later on.
One more question hydraulics are flared to 45 degrees right ?
I might do a cut and splice if parker carries the hard line, just thinking a loud.....

Hassle the dealer and tell him that you talked to the previous owner and know that the dealer is the one that messed it up. Failing his repairing it, then contact www.tractorsmart.com and order a replacement hard line. I doubt that it will cost more than $20 including shipping. Why mess with a leaking fitting when you know what it is going to take to repair it. Fix it correctly the first time and forget it for life...... Junk.....
