BX1500--Any new owners?

I ordered the BX1500 w/FEL and rear blade this week and was curious if there were any owners out there with any feedback. I was leary on the 15 hp, 2 cylender diesel but took a test drive and it seemed beefy enough for three acres and some minor lifting and scratching around. Any thoughts out there?

Not an owner, but I saw one for the first time yesterday. My initial impression is that it was a nice, little tractor. Probably about the size of what I should have for my property, but it would be so hard to downsize from the B2910. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

The salesman I spoke with said they had received 6 of them recently and they're all spoken for. Apparently, it's going to be quite popular.

We'll probably be relying on you for comments about it.

Kevin; Be sure to keep us posted. I have recommended the 1500 to several friends who like my 2200 but don't need the 60" MMM or want to spend the $ an equipped 2200 costs. They all seem to be waiting for the "other guy" to buy one first. Although I am glad I bought my 2200, if the 1500 was around three years, I think I would have looked at them long and hard.

I'm a new owner of a BX2200 with 60" mmm and soon to be LA211 FEL. I have the Landpride 1560 rear blade. I spoke to my dealer when I was there the other day and he expects the 1500 fo be a top seller in our area. Eric told me that a person could own one for under $10.000 with 54" mmm and loader. He said that the unit was quite smooth for a twin cylinder and that there was , as he showed me a large cast counter weight under the hood to dampen the twins inherent vibration. He started the unit and I was suprised at how quiet it was. I would have to say that I would have looked at it along with the BX1800 and 2200 if it had been in the dealership when I made my purchase last November. I saw one for the first time today.

Looked like a real nice machine!

At the dealer I visited they had several, and the ingteresting thing was that the one in the showroom was tilted back on it ROPS, and pointing up at the ceiling...

THe hood and side panels were off and that made it very easy to look at the engine and the underside...boy is that engines little when it is hanging there right in front of your face!

There was a tag on the steering wheel: "Do not start until all fluids are replaced!

VERY interesting seeing a tractor, even a small one, on display like that!

The BX1500 was prced about $200 more than a littel Gravely rean engined gas tractor, not rops and very lawn tractor like.

No comparison...

I looked at it long and hard before i decided on the bx2200 with fel, 60"mmm and rear blade. I did test drive it and lifted the dealer (approx. 220 lbs.) in the fel with no problem. The reasons i went with the 2200 were twofold. From the input i got here on tbn...most everyone said that if it is in the ole budget to get one size bigger than what you think you need now, and because it is brand new, i was hesitant to buy it until it is field tested. But in the same breath.....it IS a KUBOTA! Best of luck to you and keep us all posted on how great it is! Kevin

I got one a couple weeks back. Have only pushed snow with a 60" rear blade. It seems to have plenty of power. I mostly mow and do some yard work so it should be plenty. If it is not my Dad has the 7500 with FEL so I don't intend to have an FEL on mine but do plan on a snowthrower.
