BX1500 hydrostatic tranny prob

   / BX1500 hydrostatic tranny prob #21
Well, the BX1500 is in the shop and so far they can't find the problem. They said they will have to open the tranny to look at it. The pressure is lower on the forward relief valve than the reverse relief valve. The charge pressure is good. No shaving to speak of in the filter or screen. No brass flakes, etc. No whining. Dealer is stumped. Looks like more money to determine the problem.

Ideas anyone? Thanks.

Do you happen to know what the results of the pressure test were?

I don't know what the results were on the pressure test. The whole thing had to be dismantled according to the dealer. They said it is laying all over their shop. They said it was too large (long)to get out without complete disassembly. They said the valve vibrated to pieces.

The wife decided she wanted to trade it so we are going to get a BX1860 w/54" MMM and bar tires. She is afraid the same thing will happen again. Gotta keep the little woman happy.
